Front End Web Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a special sort of front end developer with strong skills in JavaScript, HTML & CSS- someone with a true ability to communicate. This person will be responsible for working with 3rd parties (potentially internationally) on a day-to-day basis for things like Quality Assurance, Cross Browser Scripting, Site Integration & more. This person will be able to code up new pages from scratch, tweak other peoples code & integrate any page into a template system.

This front-end developer will not be doing very much design - but will definitely be coding a ton. So the ability to focus is imperative. Work hours may be longer than other companies as we are a startup.

Compensation Range: $45-70k + Perks & Benefits ( as outlined below ).

Disclosure:

We work hard - you will be responsible for your work. 50-60 hour work weeks are normal.

We may need you to be on-call if a server goes down in the middle of the night, or if your script starts failing - we will 100% expect you to be up at the time of failure, fixing it.

Job Requirements:
  • Extremely Liberal Sense of Humor
  • Fundamental Understanding of JavaScript
  • Basic Understanding of Web Programming (what are loops? variable scope? conditionals?)
  • Ability to flex jQuery muscle on demand
  • Proven ability in cross browser HTML + CSS
  • Ability to Debug other peoples code & their own
  • Willing & Able to learn at lightning pace
  • Ability to write semantic (table-less) HTML
